How do you know when its time for a new rimstrip...?

Are you supposed to get new ones every time you get a new rim, tube or tire...?

Can you just use the pair you have on now...over and over again...presuming they are not damaged, flawed or overly old/worn out...?

youre not meant to use them because they get in the way of your spokes and plus its extra weight

but seriously use them till the snap or tear

just replace them when needed, as long as they're not cut up or falling apart or something like that, you can reuse them all you want.

electrical tape works too, just wrap it at least twice around then poke a hole where the valve goes.

Yea, electrical tape works, so do old tubes. Also, if you don't have a rimstrip and your back wheel takes a heavy impact, a spoke or 2 will literally shoot into your tube, puncturing it.

Exactly. Every rim needs that strip there, but you don't exactly need an actual rimstrip made specifically for the job.
