He was one of those awesome riders that you'd hardly hear of, but always blew your mind when you saw him in a video, or advert.

Yeah man, super bummed out by this. Got to ride with him once at 9th street on my first trip to Austin. He came in like the wind, shredded, and disappeared just as quick. Such great style, and an amazing personality to boot. BMX has lost another good one. RIP Paul.

It’s all bmx

Paul Buchanan is what I think of when I think of BMX. His style and photos have always stayed with me, even when I wasn't involved in BMX.

I've still got copies of DIG with him on the cover, and those images won't age, they will still look that good in another 20 years time.

Didn't know the bloke personally or anything, but he has still left an imprint on me. RIP

If I could go a tenth as high as Larry Edgar goes, then I would still be blasting super high.

rode with him a few times.

He was a cut above the rest for sure. Ahead of his time.

Yea, sounds like.

I remember being so impressed at his 360 tailwhip attempt at X-games '97, back then it wasn't common at all smile
Mysterious guy, always difficult to picture.

RIP :/

Just got some T1 bits for my bike today in the mail. Joe Rich is a genuinely nice guy, judging by his emails. Condolences to the Buchanan family and everyone at Terrible One.
