Can the S&M fit 2.35-2.4's? and how good are the only taking Hits?

They can but you shouldnt slow down a frame meant to haul ass and go big with giant slow sluggish tires

To be fair, I find wide tyres really unresponsive and slow. Each to their own though

Wide tires at lower pressures give you more traction and cushion

i feel a huge difference but i also ride long distances on my bike. if i didn't use my bike as primary transportation i probably wouldn't care as much.

This. I just went from a 1.90 that I've ran for like ever to a 2.10 FAF-K, so far love it.

But op the tires should fit.

If it is a new BTM yes. They made the back end of the frame wider about a year ago I believe.

if it's an older BTM, well still yes, but it will be quite tight with a 2.4.
