keep an eye out at the local spots, chances are it was just some kids who saw a nice bmx bike and took off on it. If you can't find it there then maybe try some pawn shops and craigslist, it could just someone looking for a quick buck.

This. Post an ad on craigslist that it was stolen, describe it in detail, where it was last seen, what it is. I did this and got a 1500 dollar bike that was jacked from the shop I worked at back with minimal damage.
I hope you have the serial number. Report it to the police if you do. If they find it, they contact you and you get it back.
Hit up pawn shops, ebay and other places that people buy/sell things.
Post a better photo where we can see more of it.
Check local parks/spots.
Hit up local shops too, let them know what to look for.
