official statement from Jim C, owner of Sunday Bikes,
"Throughout the years, I have learned more and more that my company, Sunday, is a true failure. I have finally realized that I am a greedy asshole. Some people wonder why I didn't pay Mike Hoder, and why I fired Eric L. Truth is, I wanted their paycheck money for myself. With the extra cash I was able to earn, I was able to make Aaron Ross some green and pink complete bikes, along with some "bonus bikes" later on. Speaking of Aaron Ross, he's the reason Sunday is going out of business. He told me he was going to a different sponsor. I begged him to stay, and offered to triple his paycheck (Aaron Ross still declined). I told him that the only reason I even make money is that all these kids love Aaron Ross and his "signature colors." In fact, 70% of my paycheck is accountable to the sales of Aaron Ross' signature bikes (specifically Aaron's models). And let me tell you, that 70% alone is quite a lot! Notice how none of our stuff is made in America, but overseas in Taiwan. Cheap manufacturing prices plus "gay" colors and high pricetag equals big profit! My greed didn't stop there. You may have seen the brand new Sunday "budget" parts! Yup, that's all in an effort to increase sales, even if they ruin our "high quality only" image. And let me warn you, those "Saker Cranks" are much worse than you think they are! Hell, for $50 bucks, you're still getting ripped off! Well, I, Jim C, am admitting to being a greedy, shady bastard. Good bye Sunday Bikes! I'll miss you, but the world won't!
