I was just wondering if you could use this chain breaker on other chains such as KMC 410H Chain?

The shadow chain tool works fine and the aligning pin in the handle can be a great help putting the chain back together.
What it is missing is the ledge to loosen a tight link. Also feels cheap compared to the park tool.
If your going to spend the money, buy the park Ct7 it will handle all your 1/8 and 3/16 chain needs, half link, full link and hollow pin. You will have it the rest of your life.
Your local shop doesn't use the Shadow tool, do they?

all i can find is the park ct3.2 and the ct5. Which one of those is better? and someone stole the shadow tool from Empire (my local bike shop)

The Shadow Chain Tool says it will only work with Shadow Chains which is a load of B.S, It works with just about every Chain on the Market!

Your shop should be able to order the Park CT7...it is specifically designed for bigger chains.

The CT3.2 will work ...kind of the "adjustable wrench" of the chain tool world.

The CT5 is the pocket size... best "Tool Bag" chain tool made. I have one I've had since the 90's that still works great.

But for home use buy the CT7....you will never regret it.
While your at it have your shop get you a Park PW3 and a Park CN10. These 3 specialty tools while make your wrench time on the bike much more pleasant. Anything else on todays BMX bikes can be done with regular hardware store tools

I got a Bell chain breaker from Walmart. It works perfectly fine. And of course they are going to say you can only use it on that chain so you are more likely to buy both the chain and the tool from them.

Park Tool CT7 is what we use in the shop. It's a great tool, but for home use you can save some cash and get a less expensive chain breaker if you're just using it once and a while.

With that said, if you're the kind of guy that appreciates quality tools, the CT7 is a no brainer.
