Been getting hyped on the idea of going out and building dirt jumps again , started riding dirt I think it's time to go full circle after years of not riding dirt , what I'm looking for is something heavy duty perferably foldable or able to be able to dissemble and fit in a backpack ....anyone got any suggestions ?

Hit up a military surplus, they have those foldable shovels.. but they might be a little short. Don't know if they make large shovels that you can fold haha

This.

Also consider getting a couple regular size shovels and hiding them at the spot OR if they are near somewhere where you can park a car, put them in your car, drive there, use them, and bring them home?

How much dirt do you expect to move with a foldable shovel?

Would reccomend getting a shovel and a spade, shovel for getting through tough stuff, turning up the dirt and a spade for movng large amounts and better consistent packing.

You can fit far more dirt on a flat head shovel than you can a spade.

And flat heads are far better at packing than a spade is. Why would you ever pack with a spade?

I've got a spot scoped out maybe I'll ride by it and snap a pic and throw it up here after I go ride tonight

It's beside a municipal walking path there's a tall walking bridge over a river that could make a sick roll in for speed and the rivers right beside the spot for water

Doesn't sound like it's too far off the beaten path...

So there's from the top go down make a right turn off the path into a downhill slope into a field at the bottom

From the side to give an idea of how tall it is

There's deffinatly enough coasting speed off it without pedaling for at least a 25 foot long and low step down for the first hit off of it

A place like that would get shut down so fast around here. Not to mention, no tree's means no shade which means jumps dry out WAY faster.

A shovel isn't a flat head, the spade is the rectangular shaped and flat backed one, shovels are pointed with a more concave shape. Hence why i pack with a spade.

Ya that spots a ways out into the country side on these walking paths that go out into the country

wtf.

A spade is shaped like a spade. hence the name.

Ya a spade is the angled one

No.. the spade is on the left, shovel on the right.

The shovel on the left is obviously a flathead shovel and the shovel on the right is a spade .....this isn't rocket science . Go to google select images and type spade shovel and see what pops up .... Your deffinatly wrong
