I'm calling Brayden_Buckingham out on either staring in an edit with talent, or editing with talent. As I research him, I only see critical comments, but nothing to back it up.
What do you say Brayden? Can you backup your critical comments?
It takes courage to put yourself out there.
I didn't edit the video, but I have edited video, I have taken video, I have taken pictures, and I have tried. I respect those who do.
What do you do?

Been a member for a year and a half and your 4th post is hating? Lol
Edit: And I'm assuming you're the one that did the editing, explaining why you're butthurt. It wasn't that bad tho, so take people's opinions with a grain of salt. It's the internet man, whether you want people's opinion or not, you're gonna get it. Don't like it, don't post, that simple. Anyways, I'm also assuming this kid is your little brother? He's pretty damn good IMO. He have any sponsors yet?
No, not hating. If someone has something to offer I listen. I sent Jeff Z. from RideBMX some of my photos and he critiqued them.
It hurt, but he was right. I was cropping my photos and not really showing the story. I would crop out the obstacle/jump so the viewer couldn't see what the rider was really riding. I was proud of the photos, but he helped me improve.
Hating is when you are negative with nothing to offer but hate. If someone can make better edits, or is a more talented rider then maybe one should listen. If I am wrong, I'll freely say so. It's not hating it is encouraging those with the courage to do not just say.
All Brayden did was say the editing is meh. Calling him out & flipping out on him because he has an opinion that the editing was meh is not gonna change that. That is why it's called an opinion.

Yeah guess you are right sundaybmxRR, it is an opinion and if there is no substance then it is what it is. There are those that do and those that comment.
That kid rides like he was brought up by a drug addicted, homosexual pedofile of a father.

That was a million times better than I expected. Usually when I click on a "Check out my edit" post it's shot by Micheal J Fox with a Smrtphone in portrait mode. The camera work was nice and smooth, didn't miss anything. Saw a little bit of auto exposure going on, might wanna try manual mode on the camera, takes some practice but gives you more creative freedom. No fisheye lens A++++!!! Thank you!
Riding was top notch!! Park looks fun.

Thanks for the feedback! I spent too many hours watching edits. I figured after watching so many hours I could make a killer edit! Nope, not the case! I tried creating some edits for Peyton and the shots were shaky, the clips too short, and I would get too excited wanting to see the final product I didn't do a very good job.
I don't think the quality of the editing equals those making Mark Webb, Logan Martin or other pros edits, I do believe Dom did a great job putting it together. I recognize the quality because I tried and I am not a very good videographer and editor. Dom made tremendous progress in filming and making edits and set himself apart from the typical BMX edit.
I support the sport of BMX because I grew up skateboarding before the Xgames and I know what it is like to love a sport that is not mainstream.
Hey man I just started filming and editing to the other day. This was really good.
Only complaint was.. does he ride a 3rd leg just for smith stalls in?

Damn that kids got some skills, I bet any critics would lose to him in a game of bike, looks to have a good size bag of tricks for 15 years old
Riding was good for sure. Kid certainly has real skills.
My complaint: that song. unbearable.

Oh okay. Well that's definitely cool man. Your kid's got some major skills on the bike. Shit I've got 10 years on him, yet he rides like he's got 10 on me. Gotta admit I'm a bit jealous. Haha. Glad to see he can ride dirt as well, cuz for alot of people it's like one or the other. Nice to see he's getting recognition and getting to ride with pros to get his foot in the door, so it shouldn't be long now before others come knocking. And can't go wrong with a pizza sponsor! I always joke around with my girl about that as well. Tell her if I get good enough, I'm gonna get sponsored by all the food companies I like just so I can get it for free. Lol. As far as edits go, it was still decent. Just takes practice at filming as well as alot of time spent behind the computer, figuring out what looks best and what programs give you the results you want. Just gotta be willing to put in the time and effort just like riding.
The riding was very good. My only complaint is the "15 years old" part. People need to stop throwing out their age like it's a big deal. I don't want to watch kids that are good for their age, I want to watch riders that are good. For instance, i never watch edits for that Kaden Stone or whatever his name is that Sunday always posts, because while he may be good for his age, nothing in his edits is anything that I can't see at my local park. Your son is good, not just for his age, so no need to jock that he's 15.

This.
Whenever I see a video with something in the title referring to his age like "Wow, 10 years old and doing whips and bars" I always skip it. I really don't care at all because it's the same shit being done by everyone else, just by someone younger.
I made an unpopular opinion puffin meme saying almost that exact same thing & sent it to bmx memes, and I got shit on by tons of dumbass kids saying I'm just jealous cause I can't do them. Which I actually can, but that's besides the point. So they learned how to do a trick? Okay cool.

I appreciate the detailed opinions. If someone want's to disagree, do it with some oomph and share your opinion. Put more into it than a statement, "Gay" or "it sucks" or "its meh."
Good feedback! Thanks!

He is still in school. School comes first, if he keeps his grades up I don't question how he handles his schedule. If his grades start to slip then no riding his bike. I have thrown his bike on the roof before to prove a point. With powerschool I keep tabs on his grades weekly. I try to help him keep on track. It is easier to keep up than it is to catch up. If you want to excel at anything you have to work hard in all areas of your life. Excellence takes sacrifice.
Between his friends and his mother, he is always at the park after school. In the summer he will wake up before dawn to ride when it is cool and noone is at the park. We travel to other skate parks whenever possible. Whenever we are at a new park I encourage him to watch the locals and learn their lines, make friends, encourage others, and always be cool to the little kids.
Everyone in the family supports one another and we make sure that all of our needs are met. So that means sometimes Peyton has to wait till later in the evening to session, or we spend more time on a Sunday because we are busy Friday. Together we make it work so grades can be kept up, Peyton has time to ride his bike, and everyone else can do that which we love also.
