Right now I have a set of unsealed shadow ravager alloys. I usually don't spend more then $40 on peddals.

The shadow ravagers has the standard 8-pin arrangement that most platforms have.

The anorexic pedals do not. I'm thinking that Pin on the spindle will help with grip. Presently I'll lose grip on the pedal from coming down with my toes near the center of the pedal on these ravagers.

What do you think aboutthe pin arrangment on these anorexic's they're like $80... Think it's worth it?

-and-

Is there all that much of a difference between sealed and unsealed pedals?

I usually just buy unsealed, run them until the spindles bend and buy new ones.

In regards to losing grip on your pedals: If they're metal, replace the pins. That's why they're removable so you can replace them when they wear down.
In regards to sealed vs. unsealed: This has to do with the bearings in the pedals. While sealed bearings are supposed to spin smoother and stuff, I would honestly go with unsealed pedals. The only reason I have sealed pedals are because they were on sale cheaper than unsealed ones. With unsealed pedals you can take them apart and repack the bearings, where as, eventually, sealed bearings will just wear out. Couple the ability to repack the bearings with the ability to replace pins, and sealed metal pedals will theoretically last forever, baring you snapping a pedal body.

Try spending more then 40 on pedals , it's worth it in the long run in most cases if not I'll be a learning experience or go with some sealed magnesium welgo mg52s for a little more then 40 those are great pedals i love the set I have

They look good and I'd ride them but they're fairly thin so if you're street as fuck or just crazy maybe I'd get thicker ones , I've never ridden them though so I can't say much. And sealed pedals will last longer so if you're going to buy good pedals invest the extra bit in sealed pedals .

Nah pins are fine, mega grippy when I land on those. It's when I land goofy with and my toes hit the pedal right here (see photo) those snafu anorexic pedals have a pin near the center of the spindle, I dunno if that would make all that much of a difference though. Almost wrecked in front of a bus a few days ago because of this, it was pretty exciting to say the least.
