I've been learning tyre taps and I have been snapping spokes just wanted to know if you have a straight wheel is it less likely you will snap spokes?? thanks Emilio

Make sure they're not overtightened. If the spokes have a lot of stress, they're more likely to give. Not sure if a true wheel will change much but you should always have your wheels in true.

I bet you are landing kind of sideways into them, rather than up and down into them.
Try going higher into it and coming down rather than out.
Purely speculation on my part, post a video of it if you can so we can pinpoint it better.
Also if your spokes are too tight, they will be more likely to snap with a heavy side load.
