Winter sucks up here and I can't NOT ride my bike for 5-6 months, so I built a 5ft kicker and stared jumping into a big snowbank in my yard. First time trying seat grabs, didn't actually land any but it was crazy fun!!

that looks insanely fun, if it snows again here really bad, I'll have to find somewhere & set up one of those shitty 1080 kicker ramps, and jump my shit bike into it

I ride almost everyday in the winter. As soon as that polar vortex -7 windchill of hell was over i started right back up. I sure wish i had a big ramp like that!! I would learn so much in the winter!!

EskimoJay, I'm from Winnipeg (the place that's been colder than MARS the past couple weeks).
CarJakester, the snow stays pretty loose when landing in it with bmx wheels, we broke it up real good with shovels before the session and never touched for the hour and a half we were out.
SundaybmxRR , The 5ft booter I built should cost less then $150 to build, mine cost $50 just needed a few 2x4's and 2 sheets of 3/8th ply. It's 5 feet high with a 7.5' radius.
Maximus, we were in a bigtime deep freeze for almost a month, today was like thong weather. -1C (33F). This 5footer is awesome, best ramp I've built yet! You should definitely build one!

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone

I was in Calgary during a flash flood.. Crazy shit.. Some minute it was sunny out and 5 minutes later their are cars submerged in water.. Had to park in the Calgary football stadium , for about 15 minutes. Then out of the blue it's sunny again.

I did that a bunch of years ago, it was a good time. I recommend cleaning your bike thoroughly AFTER EVERY SESSION or building a beater.

I actually spray WD40 on the chain, axles, cranks, bolts and anywhere there is exposed raw steel before a session. After riding I bring my bike into my shop and blow off all the snow and water with compressed air then lightly spray WD40 on the exposed steel again.
Weather looks tropical again this weekend might try flips if I don't chicken out, pics and possible video will be posted if I try.

WD40 works to displace water, BUT it also degreases, just so you know.

So spraying your chain actually takes the lube out of it, DON'T use WD40 to relube.

You would be better off just riding it, and cleaning and drying it when you are done.

we would coat the bikes in PAM (the cooking spray), an old cyclocross racer trick
