I've never run one of these sprockets before (Tree og). I was able to slide it onto my spindle fine (Profile Deluxe Crank). The part I'm not sure about, is should I use the cone washer in-between the bearing and the sprocket? Should this sprocket sit flush with the bearing?

cool thanks.I only asked because it's a new sprocket and a new hub and I heard that spline drive helps eliminate unevenness in the chain. But when I spin the crank my chain still has a loose spot. Do you think it could be a bent spindle?

Could be but it's likely something else like your chain could be old and stretched unevenly

This. More than likely your chain is stretched. I have a loose spot with my tree lite but I enjoy sprocket chunks so I know for a fact mine is bent

It's a new chain too though. I bought the Profile Deluxe Crank (180mm) in 2006, so it's fairly old, I don't even think they make them anymore.

How hard were the cranks used? The spindle could be bent. That will cause the tight/loose spots

not allot of heavy abuse. I live in upstate NY, so I can only ride certain months of the year.. I'll just leave it as is and see what happens, thanks for the help.

@tomdon I live more near Cooperstown. But I sometimes visit an old college buddy out there, definitely have allot more going on there.

@mario.villegas90: I was wondering that too, because when I eye-balled the sprocket and the rear hub, it didn't look like it lined up. If I took that cone washer out it seemed like it would be more parallel though. Would it hurt the BB without that cone washer?

It won't hurt the bb but you should at least put a small spacer.
