are you sure the shop is lacing them properly? Danscomp might have sent you spokes for 3x lacing, your shop might be trying to lace them 4x

They would be too long in this case.

Maybe dans was accounting for them to be laced 3x. Kinda bugs me out since i just ordered my spokes from them the same way.

Check out this link below:

They have a good tutorial on how to calculate spoke length there too. Basically you need to know the following things:

1. ERD or Effective Rim Diameter: GSport lists this as 389mm. You can also measure this yourself.
2. Hub Flange Diameter: Measure from one spoke hole in your hub flange to the spoke hole on the opposite side of the same flange.
3. Centre to Flange Distance: This is the distance from your hub flange to the centre of your hub. An easy way to measure this is to measure from the cone nut to the centre of your flange, and then take that and subtract it from 55. (Standard cone to cone with on a hub is 110mm) If your hub has two different size flanges, you need this measurement for each side.
4. Hub Spoke hole diameter: Just leave this as 2.5.
5. Number of spokes in the wheel. Duh.
6. Cross Pattern: 3 cross for 36H and 4 cross for 48H.

I'm sure your LBS could measure this out for you, if they can't, they probably shouldn't be building your wheels.
