Apparently there was a shitty batch of springs. My kid broke like two in a week.

I Got about 5 spares at a hardware store.

I want to know what goes through someone's mind when they spend like 1200 on a bike for QUALITY AND DURABILITY, then cheap out on something, have issues and ask how to make it better...

How does this make sense?

And I will give the benefit of the doubt and go with you wanted to try brakes, but even so, why get the cheapest thing? Why not get better brakes, so if you like them you are all set, and if you hate them you can SELL THEM?

I am running Springfields while my Fly brakes sit in a drawer. They are cheap but work as well as any other brake if you set them up correctly.

lube brake mount.
install arms.
lube cable.

simple.

My brakes work just as if not better than those over priced brake systems only flaw is the shitty weak spring that I fixed with a vice grip spring idk why your going on n on like someone is trying to improve the way they function

Yeah. If I use brakes it's Springfield's unless I need more clearance, then I use Eclats.

Being able to take them on and off quivky is fits.

It just sparked up the thought because I have seen it time and time again on here and in person where a kid wants to rig up the cheapest part they got because it has a flaw or failed, when there are TONS of options for minimal extra cost (in some cases no extra cost) that would completely avoid the scenario they put themselves in.

And I'm happy that you feel your brakes work well. More riders need to try brakes.
