So my sprocket has been out of line for about 6-7 months now, and whenever I pedal it makes this irritating squeaking noise. It all grinds down pretty bad on my chain. The sprocket came with a complete bike (Kink Liberty). How can I fix this? Or is it time for a new sprocket? (I was considering buying a 28t anyways).

Should, if it doesnt give it a tap until it sits flush with the crank

I've heard of putting it inbetween two pieces of wood and parking a car ontop of it overnight. I would do it. But there's always a chance it doesn't work or makes things worse.

Make sure you have a spindle spacer and that your crank arm is on the spindle correctly.

Sounds like your crank is loose orr you lost a spacer somehow?.. check the tightness first.
