I got started off on BMX like 2 months ago i didnt really have a lot of money so i bought the Kink Curb 2012 and i realized it was bad. But since im a beginner should i change some of my parts like the stem, sprocket, bars etc.? i already changed the pedals, mainly because they were too small for my feet. So should i change parts now or later on when i get better. At the moment i know how to bunnyhop and jethop.

just replace the parts as you go along and get better.

ONLY replace what breaks, it will save you a bunch of money in the long run.

Bunnyhop > jhop > jethop, HOW ABOUT JUST "HOP"?

Also like some people already said, replace as things break.

Replace parts as you go. Replace what breaks, or what you don't trust. Try to buy stuff with lifetime warranty, it will save you the money of having to re-buy parts you've already bought if they do break. Also if you're going to buy parts, try to get quality parts otherwise there is no real point. Handlebars, cranks, sprockets, forks, and wheels are all good investments if you buy nice ones. What I'm saying mostly is don't replace stock parts all at once with shitty aftermarket parts, it won't make your bike all that much better. Save up, and make your bike a masterpiece.

Some tricks you're gonna want to learn are manuals, and 180s. They are good for beginners. Also perfect your bunnyhops.

... but welcome to vital, and to BMX.

Just keep riding and learning and worry about replacing stuff when you actually have to.

OMG! What has this world come to? Everyone argues with me when I call a bunny hop a bunny hop. They say it's a j-hop or an angel hop or something homo. Was I the only one who knew what a bunny hop was when they were a kid?

It fucking bugs me! It's called a bunnyhop because when bunnies hop they lift their front paws first and hop with the back feet and thats exactly what I was told when I first got into this, that thats why its called a bunnyhop
No offense to people but damn theres no Jhop, jethop, or bronco, its bunnyhop in the bmx world

Bunny hop is the only thing I heard it called until I joined Vital. Are there other standard things that people call different names, like they invented something new? ( and no, I'm not blaming this kid for getting bad information)

So getting stuff from Danscomp wouldnt be a good idea since i dont think they have a lifetime warranty?

Well its not the mailorder company that does the lifetime warranty, it's the brand. Like you can buy an Odyssey part from Danscomp and since Odyssey has a lifetime warranty you will get it.

Some brands that do lifetime warranty:
-Odyssey
-Profile
-Kink
-Fit
-S&M
-G-Sport

It doesn't matter whether you buy your parts from Danscomp, Albes, Staff, Empire, etc... it all depends on if the brand provides a lifetime warranty on the part.

Just do your research on each part you buy.
