Hey guys !

As you can see the title of this topic, I need your help and some useful tips for begginers.
I've been watching BMX videos for like 2 years. I liked this "sport" on a first sight.
So I decided that I want to start riding BMX too. But first I need BMX bike. That's what I need from you.
I saw many BMX bikes but I dont really know which one should I buy. I was already asking my friends but they have some sh*ts for 50 euros. So if you guys have time, please post some good BMX bikes in here. The price should be like 200 - 350 euros. And also tell me WHY should I buy that one which you posted. Please dont forget that im begginer and I'm just starting with riding.

(If I wrote something wrong I'm sorry.. My english isn't perfect)

Thank you smile

Well, chainreactioncycles has some good deals atm. Id go with this eastern: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/es/es/eastern-cremator-bmx-bike-2013/rp-prod84715
or with this stolen: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/es/es/stolen-heist-bmx-bike-2013/rp-prod87827
Because both are full cromo, double walled, sealed everything, and its more than enought for a beginner.

you have three options, buy a gyro, take off the brakes or get a longer brake cable

Just wanted to point out that the Cremator has a 21" top tube frame, and the Heist has a 20.8" top tube so they are better for taller riders. How tall are you bud? Also how old are you? The most important part when buying your first BMX is to make sure that it fits you properly.

Don't worry about the brakes. You can always take them off. I actually can't ride with brakes anymore as I always seem to hurt my hand on the lever. There is no way that you will learn tailwhips in your first year of riding and a small chance you will learn barspins.
It is possible to do tailwhips/barspins with a cable anyway as it it long enough but you will have to turn the bars back around the other way after each barspin/tailwhip.

I agree with this too. It's a decent size for you now, and you can still grow a bit and feel good on it. I wouldn't be scared to ride a 20.5" either though for your height / age.

Well that's good I think.. But what tricks should I learn in first year of my riding except of Bunny hop? Which ones are basic or like easy or something..

|

1/31/2014 12:40 PM

Hops, get em dialed at a good foot or so
FAKIES. learn these before the next trick and learn them BOTH ways
180: self explanitory
if you have pegs, go and grind dude. feebles are great to start on.
footjam whips
360's
half cabs (optional)

As zach said, bunny hops, manuals, 180s, rockwalls, footjam 180s, ft tailwhips, feebles, double pegs, 180 grinds, manual 180, 360s and you are set for a long time.
