My Demolition Rotator hubguard seized on the axle and it won't loosen or tighten. Wtf. The orginal cone nut was SO tight , I even had to step on my freecoaster internals , and YANK but even then it would not come loose. The wrench slipped off and damaged the threads. It took my friend , who has been on a coaster for 5 YEARS , who is also 200 lbs + , to step on the axle , and lean back and pull as hard as he can. He's a big guy too. It took him 5 minutes to take a CONE NUT OFF.
Anyways I put the guard on and left it to ride. today , I tried removing it to regrease everything and I wanted to switch the tophat , so I can have FULL slack , not just without the washers. A friend and I tried , and it got loose just slightly , then seized. We fucked with it for 45 minutes and it was seized. His dad who is also a pretty big guy stood on the axle and tried to loosen and (He also works at a bike shop , even owned one at one point) and he couldn't do it.
I want to know if Demolition will warranty or at least offer a discounted replacement. A fucking cone nut should not be that tight , and now because of a little slip , I need a new fucking axle. Lame. Even worse , the instant I get my wheel , they release a V2 Rotator with a solid axle and needle bearings. It's spring break , and I can't even ride. I'm emailing them right now , but I don't have any money for an axle (Just blew 275$ on the wheel itself) and now I need to get new parts and puttingit together will cost alot too.
First impression sucks Demolition....yah , it was me who slipped the wrench off , but you release a new updated coaster right after , and it was the cone nut that fucked me over. I hope they will help a bro out...
