Long story my boss fucked it up . Any ideas to get it off ? Circular WTP cap , 6mm Allan key won't fit and neither will the bigger sizes of both metric and imperial Allan keys . I might try the rubber band trick , but last time it didn't work . And I cannot grasp it with a crescent wrench either .

Anyone know if a Macneil default topcap will fit WTP forks ?

Loosen the two side bolts on the stem and spin your bar/stem counterclockwise while holding the front wheel straight. The stem will grab onto the top cap and loosen it. I thought it sounded stupid but it worked for me.
Good Luck...

any bolt with the M24 thread will fit your fork. Get a good one like the tree fork bolt. If not there are tons of other options out there just make sure its made out of 7075 aluminum. Not sure if the macneil fork bolt will fit but you can try. I hope I helped

this is probably the best idea. worked for a friend of mine before. you could also try jamming a 1/4" allen key in there too with a hammer.

if that doesn't work, fuck it... it's already stripped and unusable, so you could try gripping it with vice grips too and unscrewing it that way.

also not sure what will fit them without knowing what specific fork they are. if they're a certain year, you might be shit out of luck cause I know at one point WeThePeople made a "quickthread" style compression cap and no other standard bolt fits it and they don't make it anymore as far as I know, so...

Throw away 1/4 allen, mallet/hammer.

I'll probably try the stem thing , but I don't want to fuck up my new stem already , paint wise . Whatever . I have some Colony topcap but I lost it , hopefully this MacNeil one works . Looks pretty small . I'll give it a proper beating tomorrow and see what happens .

Use a torx bit that's slightly bigger, it'll go in a lot easier than a bigger Allen key

Twisty stem thing worked , but now the topcap ( MacNeil ) doesn't fit and I can't put the old one back on. Fuck . I'll email WTP and see what fits it but there's no local shops around that I can go too anytime soon

MacNeil on the right ... bummed .

Edit ; so the forks I have are only comparable with the M24 threading top caps , which is a WTP specific or something . Dans , 3ride , Jibs , etc doesn't have them . Any advice ?

Edit edit : Transition has some Fit / S&M M24 ones , I presume they would work haha ... left him a message just in case . Wonder how a S&M wrap topcap would look on my bike .
