Strongest Half Link

So I run a half link on my chain to slam the wheel and sometimes like the other day we needed a half link to get the chain length dialed in for my friends frame. I would like to buy a chain just to keep with me for spare half links. Which half link chain is stronger I'm thinking cult or shadow.

That's an insult, I'm 90% sure my turd I shoved out earlier was way stronger than the Shadow chain is

I think this pic invalidates any argument that there is a "stronger" chain.

Fuck half link chains. Absolute worst design for a chain. Go for a Fly Tractor or Odyssey Bluebird. Both offer the EXACT same adjustment of a half link chain. Cheaper, lighter, stronger, and less stretch.

Yeah I know I'm going to eventually get a bluebird but I want to keep a couple half links with me for when me or my friends need them like the other day when his wheel was either rubbing on the frame or hanging off of the dropouts.

I carry spare chain, when you get a bluebird, it comes with a crapload extra chain. And if your wheel is hanging out of your dropout, you can take out a link or two.

Yeah I have extra full links but I just want some spare half links because I like fixing stuff so I know I'll use it If i have spare half links. Plus I'm gonna wait till I get a new sprocket and frame before I get a new chain so I won't have to add links because I plan to get a bigger frame and a 28t sprocket opposed to my 25t sprocket.

Buy bluebird, carry around the other spare chains. I think its a no brainer.

No chain is recommended for 9T drivers... so it'll work fine. Plus I know for sure most half links from half link chains don't really like to work well with full links. I know it's shown in the pic above but it was a total bitch when I tried it and ultimately failed.

Idk man I bought almost that exact same half link from my lbs and it didn't work but I put a shadow half link from my friend and I've been running it for like 7 months and it only snapped once because my chain was too tight but I fixed it and haven't had a problem since.

I've been running the same half link for like 2 years now, real tight chain, 28/9 gearing, pedal like a mad man, and I've never had a problem.

I have a brand new Bluebird rode once that ill sell you for $15 shipped. Includes receipt to prove its age and og box.

As for having a chain laying around for extra half links, just get the cheapest one you can find. Even the cheapest halflinks use thicker links than the single halflinks that come with the Bluebird and Diesel.

I'm using a single shadow half link in my khe collapse chain. Seems ok since it's supported by a good chain

On the mention of chains. I'm buying a 1664 chainbreaker next friday and potentially might buy a Eclat stroke chain. Any reviews on both?
