I might possibly want one of those stems, they look alright, I would be buying a new tube of grease same time I buy the stem.
Any thoughts on either? I am also buying new bars too.

Dont waste your time. Theyre cheap for a reason. Save up and get something nice. You can probably find a much nicer stem on sale for just a little bit more. I know Dan's has a perma blue Shadow Ravager on scratch&dent for like $47. I think Subrosa may have a CNC'd stem for around $45 aswell? Look around, CNC'd 6061 is what youre looking for.

Haven't heard much about the Volume Staple but I have heard quite a few things about the Freeze! A LOT of people in PA have this stem and they think that it's really really good. My friend didn't like his very much but his bars were bad. I'd say get the Freeze but hopefully someone on here has some experience with the Volume stem.

CNC'd 6061, go for it. Some kid I ride with has the TL version and its pretty nice.
For bars I would recommend Shadow Vultus because they are some of the strongest bars available and theyre also lighter than majority of bars. Tear drop crossbar makes for an extra large weld area which is a huge plus.
Standard Strips are amazing aswell, I really like mine.
Animal Big Fours rule, strongest 4pcs ever.
Anything Odyssey/Sunday is obvious.
Mutiny makes some sweeeet bars.
Bonedeth bars are killer.
Can't go wrong with FBM.
