So I started chiropractic treatment on my back because I managed to twist my vertebrae out of alignment while riding. Four or five of them were facing to the side instead of straight out. Has this ever happened to any of you guys? I'm not the best riders mostly pump around bowls and do feebles and basic beginner stuff but I think it all happened while learning 180s cause it constantly try them launching out of things and I think just the impact did it. I'm petite, I'm 5,2 120 pounds and pretty skinny but I know even smaller riders that this type of thing hasn't happened to. I just want to know if anyone knows of this happening to another rider?

I dont really think i did it on 180s. I got my back for a couple weeks riding 110 psi tires and jumping a 10 stair. landing back tire and looping out onto my back.
Not the highest psi i run is 70

I've slipped about 4 disks and pinched my nerves so bad i could hardly get up, only once was it from riding though most of my injuries come from rugby.

Pinched nerves suck, I pinched my sciatic nerve by landing on my hip trying to make a wallride last longer than gravity would allow, that was a year ago an its still not right.

I gave my self whiplash from an afternoon ride. It was either when I scorpion grinded catching my front peg on a crook is flat rail and I rolled over my head instead of sliding on my chest or when I face planted going down my down rail.

Talk to your chiro about getting some stretches to strengthen your muscles up so they take the fatiguing work rather than your spine

I'm a punk bmxer, I can't do it well so I do it loud.

Twisted like 90 degrees to the side?
I feel like that would be major and require immediate surgery as that would DESTROY nerves.

Now a little off could cause pain and subluxation, but it is only a couple millimeters. Chiro visits help, and heat and ice alternating to relax muscles.

Take it easy for a while.

It was a gradual thing it happened over time so I thinlmy nerves ae fine but the healing process is so slow and the doc says I can't do any tricks just ride around but even when I do that it ends up hurting, it's definitely not fun but I'm supposed to be able to fully ride again by the 1rst of next year
