So I currently have an animal tww-r in the front 2x2.20 and an odyssey aitken in the back 20x2.10. In about a week I have a fairly large order coming in and I was wondering if this setup would be good. Fit far 20x2.3 in the front and move my animal in the back ? My aitken is balding btw so im not some kid who just buys parts because he likes to. Thanks.

Is the fit 2.25 still huge and thick ? I want a really fat tyre in the front.

All depends on where and what you ride. I prefer 2.3's at my park, it's slick lol.

Well I ride all day, everyday. I go to a park about twice a week and right "Street" the remaining days. I put quotations because im not good so for me , riding street is a few ledges and some 180 practice. The 2.3 sounds like my kind of tire. Do you recommended putting the tww-r in the back though. The tire isn't the knobbiest? I think it will be fine, but I would like someone elses opinion.

Fit 2.25 is fatter than Fit 2.3 and knobier... personally i would recomend going with a different tire all in all maybe a Demolition Momentum if you want thick and slick or Shadow Undertaker if you want thick and knoby.

Alright thanks. Ill consider a different tire. All I know is that its going to go in the front. And its gonna be fat. Do you think I will have an issue with the animal tww-r in the back and a slightly knobier tire in the front. The animal is kinda slick but not to slick. I know its about prefernece but I dont have cash to just buy a tire to see if I like my setup so do you think it will be ok? I think a little slick in the back, and a little knob in the front would be sick!

My preference is a slick tire in the back like the demo momentum and a knobby tire in the front like uhm, one second I forget the name of mine let me find one...

Actually the aitken would be good in the front.

But I like having a slick back because I slide my back tire alot during tricks and I spin easier and I just find some tricks easier if my back tire slides easy.

Good Tires IMO-

Front-
Aitken
Holly Roller
Primo Dirt Monster

Back-
Most Animal Tires
Demo Momentum
FAF
Duo Stunner

Thats just my personal opinion though, I am no pro, so I wouldn't base what you get just off of my opinions.

Thats just my personal opinion though, I am no pro, so I wouldn't base what you get just off of my opinions.

to the post above this, let me break it down.

aitken tire- good all around. you got something right here.
holly roller- for a 10 year old, yes. someone that actually is riding bmx todo tricks no. tread wears out quick and has thin sidewalls.
Dirt monster, the name says it all. it is made for dirt. this tire also has thin sidewalls

animal tires,- theyre good. seen alot of people ride these front and back, GLH front and a TWW rear mainly
Demo- good tire, im not a fan of them really.
FAF, size matters here. the 2.3 inflates to 2.2 actually. 2.25 goes to 2.36. the 2.3 also seems to wear out alot faster then the 2.25. ive ridden this tire for a long time too
stunner- good for street, bad for park. something about the compound of this tire is not good for parks with slick surfaces, i used to run a 2.10 in the rear and it would always slide out on me at concrete parks.

also, the 2.25 isnt that knobby, it is a fairly smooth tire, its side tread is a bit knobby for dirt, but on street you will just about never touch that part of the tire.

they basically are... 2.25 is knoby and 2.3 is slick if anything the 2.25 is a little bit bigger and has more life than the 2.3.

the only thing different about the 2.25 and the 2.30 is the 2.25 has a bit more tread. and the 2.30 is for the most part basically bald

I like the tire, just wish it has more tread, and lasted longer. I recommend Fly Rubans for the front. one of them will last you a year, if you don't pull holes in it.
