which is better and does the envy have brakes?

Envy is brakeless. It comes with the caliper brakes cuz it legally has to. And I'm gonna say the Envy is better just by the $300 higher price tag. Personally I think the Envy looks better as well, but I'm all about brakeless and I really like that X seatstay bridge!

I just purchased a 2013 crysis. its a nice bike.
I havn't ridden it much yet other than around the yard a few times but overall I am happy with it.

Envy 110% Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better bike. Look at the parts list!! Aftermarket Frame & Fork, Then pretty much every single part on it is made by Eclat, one of the best companies in BMX. The Wethepeople site says the Envy Frame has Removable Brake Mounts, so you are fine, don't sweat it, run the Brakes with the Removable Mounts & then when/if you decide to go Brakeless you can just take the Mounts off!
