Hello, I lost my WTP Patron 25 fork top cap, and tried other top caps. Subrosa, one from WTP Envy 2011, TotalBMX, etc.. none fits. Can't screw it on. Does anyone have any idea about this ? Emailed WTP but no reply at all

apparently mine use M24 x 2.5mm. tree bicycle has H24. what's the difference? many sold are H24x1.5mm. arghhh

Pretty sure the 'x1.5' is the thread height, but no, theyre not the same. Look for a top cap with an m24 thread. Banned stash cap maybe?

WTP had some forks for a couple years that used their "Quick Thread" thing or something like that that used 24x2.5 threads or something like that. Meaning no fork bolt except the WTP one will work.

a reply from treebicycle

"Maybe that fork sounds like a course thread.

So it wouldn’t fit."

Just looked into this, and apparently they don't even make their forks with that anymore. Meaning a fork bolt with that thread is even harder to find.

That's seriously really retarded of them in my opinion. Why not just stick to one of the standard threads already being used?

You could try actually calling WTP instead of emailing them.

Or it's a long shot, but maybe you can find a hardware store or something & see if there's anything there you can use as a makeshift fork bolt.

screw companies that have no knowledge of their own products!
