I'm about 5' 7" and ride a 20.5", but I'm also basically done growing.
How old are you, and are you done growing?

Whatever you want? Do you really think you're going to notice 0.3" in TT length? That difference in feel can be made up by the stem you run, the angle you run your bars at, which forks you run, etc. If you want a tighter feeling bike for spins and whips and whatnot, get a shorter TT. If you want a more stable feeling bike, get a longer TT.

I don't necessarily agree with this. I can' feel a HUGE difference in .25" difference in TT length, and I can feel just as big of a difference with changing the stem length by 3mm.
I don't really believe that adjusting your stem can offset the frame length. It's a different feeling when you change the TT length or stem reach,
I do mainly agree that moving your bars forward can change how your stem reach feels though.

Maybe I'm just weird, but when I hop onto a bike that has a shorter TT than mine, I can't tell at all. The entire bike feels different, not just the length. The angle of the bars, the stem, and the offset of the forks all make the bike, as a whole, feel different. I guess I've never had a chance to ride identical bikes with different TT lengths before.

get a standard 20.75......dont get a cult

|

3/2/2012 2:28 PM

The Cult is nice and pick up a 20.5. I'm 5'4 myself and I'm 15. You won't regret a nice poppy feel.

Oh and this situation, I would look into the new Mothership (V2) I like my Cult, but I would give the United a try.

3/2/2012 2:33 PM

do the mother ship 20.5 im 5.3 and im 17and my 20.5 feels amazing and the shorter back end helps when your short

top tube length to me is personal preference. I ride a 21.25 right now and love the feel, but i can also hop on my friends 20.5 and ride it pretty comfortably. Id go with the 20.75 Deathrow or the benny
