I am looking to get my son a new bike. He is paying for most of it and I want to make sure he gets themost of his money. Can someone tell me which of the bikes would be best or if there is another in the $200.00-$250.00 range that may be better. Thank in advance for your help.

The kink frame is steel rather than chromoly. Is that not really a big diffrence. It will only be a 70 lb kid riding it. What am I looking at on the kink that makes it the better bike. Yes I am a noob.

Axle: oversized 14mm axle
Rims: double wall alloy rims for maximum durability
Handlebars: premium chromoly handlebars
Seat: ultra light seat and post combo
Pedals: standard pedals
Cranks: tubular chromoly 3-piece cranks
Assembly required. That's from walmart spec
Also try cragslist they might have better bikes. But i say it your money buy what you can afford.

Theres another thread about the mode 900, but, that really does seem to be the best bang for your buck in that price range. I would have started on that had I been smarter.
