What size do you have now and do you like them? I think anything over 8 is overkill but it's just preference really i ride 8.25 and i'm like 5,8" or something like that

You're 5" 9' and have 8.75 bars? That should be plenty tall for you. Do you have a topload, frontload, or dropped style stem? And do you have any spacers? These two things can be a huge determinant in how tall your bike feels. Trying messing with spacers first to decide what feels best, then you buy the right stuff. I'm 6" and have 8.75 bars cut down to 28' wide, with a topload stem and some spacers. I'd never run my bars bigger than 28', even now I grip on the inside of my bars, but it's really all about personal preference and what feels right.

I'm 5'2" and have always rode 8.25" high. 8" feels too short and 8.5" is as tall as I'll go. I have some 8.75" bars I completely blew my money and wasted it on cause they feel like crap so they're just collecting dust..
