Hey guys, I am a complete newb to BMX working on my first bike, I bought it used and according to the thread I made here it was a good deal... But I've noticed an issue with the bike and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me, basically sometimes when I stand up on the pedals it sometimes triggers a relatively loud clunking noise... it doesn't happen every time I pedal, only sometimes. It seems to be triggered when I apply pressure on a certain spot.

Thanks for the help...

Loose cranks? Take it apart, clean and grease, make sure you have enough spacers. Maybe a bent sprocket? Does your chain get loose, then tight?

It’s all bmx

It can be a couple of things?
1. Bottom bracket bearings ( cranks bearings)
2. Take your chain off your front sprocket & spin cranks to see if your sprocket wobble s back & forth. If so it's bent and catching your chain.
3. Check & see if cranks are loose?? It would be a good idea to pull cranks off and inspect bb brarings. If they are good regrease them.
4. Could be you chain. If it's all rusty ( pos) get a new one
5. Pull rear wheel off of bike and inspect axle for being loose ect.
6. Regrease all bearings if you need help there are plenty of how to videos or just hit us back.
Hope this helps

Had the same problem. Align spindle so the crank arms get same amount of spindle WITH sprocket on. Grease splines, tighten a crapload. And grease all of your threads. All credit to some other member that helped me with this.

none of the bmx bikes, The only bike I've ever seen at wal-mart that has a reversible hub is the Thruster Fixie, has a cassette on one side, and a fixed on the other side.

It's the splines, remove the arms then grease them
