1.) Do you like a street, dirt, park, or flatland edit? (or a mix)

2.) What kind of stuff makes the edit enjoyable?

3.) Music or no Music?
a.) If you like the music, what kind do you most enjoy, or does it have the be a certain type of edit for it to be needed?
4.) Do you like big stuff or technical stuff?

I am asking these so when i get around to throwing a good edit together, i know what the people want!

5.) Also, put in any input that makes you enjoy an edit more!!

1.Street and park.

2.Good music, good filming keep the sounds of the bikes.

3.Music.
a.Uhmm what kind of music I like in a bmx edit? Emo, Screamo, Punk, Metalcore whatever. None of that fucking mac miller or wiz khalifa shit been done so many times and sucks.

4.Depends, I'm not a fan of tech riding. I like flow riding and simple shit.

5. Good music and filming, if it's filmed on a fucking iphone the wrong way and has shitty angles and bad music I won't even watch it. And style. Oh and wear cool clothes.

Needs to have Sail or an MGMT song.
Every clip needs to be filmed into the sun.
Every trick needs to be a 180.
In at least every other clip, be sure to step off or put a foot down.
Include "bails" randomly spread throughout the video.
Use slow-mo on every clip.
Effects. There can never be too many.

1. I like mostly street, maybe a little park.
2.I like seeing unique spots in an edit. Not just the same old stuff or even famous spots, but little set-ups that you don't see everyday. Obviously the filming and editing need to be on point too.
3. Definitely Music
a. I like stuff with a feel-good vibe and kinda upbeat, or just totally laid-back. Tempo change-ups in a song are always a good thing. I like funk, soul, even disco. Maybe some old school hip hop or electronic jam. Usually older music gives an edit that timeless feel.
4. I like unique stuff. Whether it be big or technical. Big stuff is always fun to watch, but technical creative stuff is usually what gets me the most stoked.
5.Random B-roll and outtakes are always a nice thing to have. It helps to give more information about the rider and what else might've been going on that day.

This. For me, it's 90% street, 10% park, nothing else. And I like tech riding, but it just pisses me off how they can even pull stuff like that off.

Oh and also cut the clip short right after you start to fakie. Fuck rollouts. And you can never ever have too much canera man commentary

A street and park mix is awesome!
Always have fun when you're doing it, add in some random clips throughout it, or a stupid crash.
Music or No Music is a preference and it really just depends, but I would go for a chill/slow beat rap. Or like Awolnation type song like Sail.
Technical and big, mix em together!

Just always have fun throughout the edit and enjoy yourself, if you land something big, yell, high five your friends, etc. I hate the edits when they get pissed off and throw there bikes, it kills the mood of the edit. GOOD LUCK!

Creativity. There's nothing special about an edit that's full of mundane clips.
For me Rap, Dubstep etc is a definite no. I don't mind any other music though, although it's not always what I'd prefer to listen too. For example, I don't mind edits with Rock/Heavy Metal, and it often fits in with the riding, but it's not the sort of music I tend to listen to.
No Star Wipes etc.
Bails are only OK if they are funny or it's one of the bigger tricks in the edit and it's shown just before the trick is landed or right at the start as a sort of teaser.
It has to have plenty of lines in, not 100% single tricks.

I second this. Especially the 5th thing. It's always cool to see random clips either in the beginning or the ending (I prefer ending) of like just chilling, joking around & whatnot.

Repetitiveness also plays a factor for me.. Too many barspins or something like that makes me hate the edit

1) Street edits are always fun to watch for me.

2) Original tricks are always a good thing in edits, original music that hasn't been in an edit is good.

3) Music is a must if I watch an edit, I've heard Johnny Cash in an Edit and it was great.

4) Technical.

I'm gonna need bigger bars

7/6/2013 9:41 AM

1 A good mix of street, dirt and park.

2 Fun stuff

3 Music. hardcore punk or 80's thrash

4 BIG

5 Show that you're having fun. Shotgun a beer in it (or soda idk if you drink beer) Show a prank or something, just goof off, you know? Look at the FBM videos from the 90s, thats an ideal sort of bike video.

I like seeing someone fall in the beginning or in the end, it shows how much pain the rider put into making the edit. I want creativity in an edit, if you can clear a decent sized gap that's cool but I want more, 3 it. I like music that fits the style of riding, for example: Bone Deth would have screamo or Metal, while someone like Nigel Sylvester would want hip-hop/rap in their edit. And I like to see people go no holds bar and do big stuff!
