Wanting to buy some new bmx rims to finish off my wheel set and finally ride them.

I have a Gsport Ratchet and Simian Hub which has been sitting around for 2months and haven't done anything with them.

What would be good rims to lace them to? and what type and what length spokes would I need? Thanks.

Brakes or no? I feel like that would possibly have a little bearing on your decision.

I LOVE my Demolition Zeros. Trued them once or twice in 2+ years.

G-Sport Birdcages if you don't ride really hard, G-Sport Ribcages if you do. Ribcages are probably the strongest rim you can buy, and Birdcages are really light yet very strong. I've had Birdcages for 6 months now with no problem, and I rode Rollcages for almost 2 years before that.

Odyssey hazard lites are a good option. Ribcages are bombproof. Avoid single wall rims and pinned ones

Sometimes I ride brake and sometimes I don't but I only ride the rear brake. Currently I'm not using the brake as I can't be bothered putting it back together lol

Think I'll get G-Sport Ribcage then atleast I know It will last a long time and I'll probably just have to true them once a month or whenever they decide to f up.

What spokes should I buy? Are they're any decent ones or does it even matter? Also forgot about spoke nipples?

If you have the extra money, go DT Swiss with G-Sport Taper Hex Nipples. If you can't get the nipples, just go for DT Swiss. If you want to save money just get the generic brand from whatever shop you're ordering from. Avoid spokes from big brands like Shadow and Primo, they tend to be shit. And don't spend the money on titanium spokes, it's not worth it in anyway.

Think I'll probably stick to DT Swiss spokes/nipples. Thanks everyone for the help. Just need to wait until end of christmas or so then I will hopefully have my Gsport wheels finished and my bike finished smile Probably give the bike a good clean inside and out and greasing everything before I put the new wheels on.

Making me choose between the 2 now lol. Both are £80.99 and both are good but I know the Ribcage is stronger but I do like the look of the 7KA and they are a little bit lighter. I'm not too bothered on weight. I might get the 7KA though
