Some of the newer emericas maybe. The cupsole ones.

I pretty much just buy old shoes on ebay now, all the shoes out now are trash it seems.

I used to have a pair of vans hightops (can't rember the name of them tho) they were quite comfy, grippy and had decent ankle protection

best pedals in the universe are the new fit mac pedals. sooooo much grip best pedals I've ever run. and for shoes i suggest etnies maranas. best shoes ever. last a great amount of time, great pedal feel, just perfect in my opinion

Any type of Vans grip well for me. Etnies are the same. But I am no longer a huge fan or plastic pedals. I got Odyssey Trailmix pedals and they are amazing. The grip on metal pedals is incredible. It doesn't matter what shoes I wear, they still grip phenomenally!

I never thought shoes mattered much in the past so I just wore my nikes while riding but I got tired of tearing up all my shoes so I got some loteks and it's the only pair of bmx shoes I've ever owned but I feel like they grip really well

Vans TNT's on Fatality 13een pedals, honestly the most grip I have had from any setup ever, didn't slip a pedal once in a year with them. You can literally land with the ends of your toes on the pedals and still stick

They run small. The pair I had I bought in 11s and I normally wear 10.5 and it fits just right.

JCPC and vans have so much grip its ridiculous. and you can change the pin length for more of less grip.

Yeah I quite like them and you can change the plastic if it snaps
