Im not talking your first real bmx bike, just first bike in general. I remember i had this ghetto ass 16 inch that i have no idea where my dad got it, but i imagine it was for really cheap. hahaha It was actually really fun while i had it. That was the first bike that was more of an actual style of bike. i had this small strider push bike thing that had like these pedals you could put your feet on and kinda coast. I rode that since i could walk and i called my bikeyyy. idk where it went lol. i had a big wheel that i tore up on! I actually shredded the plastic wheels on it to bits and cracked it from jumping it off a bank lol. then i got that 16 inch. i then got a 20 inch that had 10 inch rise bars (before it was a trend) and i got fed up with that, got a mongoose, it was nuts, i front flipped it (normally successfully) every time i hit a jump because its forks had like a shock and when the shock pushed all the way in the breaks would jam and send me into a front flip. Then i bought a Haro Backtrail Nyquist X4 for 20 dollars, best deal ever. It was really the start of my riding and that thing is bomb proof, i STILL have it. I then got a stolen casino, then a subrosa, then i eventually made my federal up. What is your guy's bike history? How much has it influenced your riding today? What did you do on your first bikes?

I really didn't have too many bikes growing up, i guess because we lived in the middle of nowhere and there was no place to really ride one. I'm guessing i had a tricycle to learn on when i was little, then I had a blue huffy when i was like 7 or so. Then i had a cheap mountain bike when i was like 10. Then from the time i was like 12 or so to my 20's i never had a bike. When i turned 20 i bought my first bmx.

My first bike was ssooo badass!! it was red, maybe a schwinn of some sort.. it had a banana seat, huge hanging handlebars and some solid rubber (no air) tires.. i think it was from the 70s and my mother got it for me from a yard sale, for around $10, after i begged her for it for like 2 hrs.. it was heavy as shit, but i was maybe like 8 yrs. old, in the late 80s or early 90s and it was the bike i learned how to ride on.. back then we used to build shitty ramps and just do a run up and try to launch as far as possible.. everything on the bike rusted away or fell apart, except the wheels.. it was fucking awesome!!

I have no idea what I learned to ride on but I remember having some red bike with coaster brakes that I learned how to ride without training wheels on and eventually got a Mongoose Mission. It was blue & I loved it. At some point I considered it "broke" cause everything was loose and the bars & stem both shifted (I was like 10 or 11, didn't know better) so I got a Mongoose Flyboy I think it was, can't find any pictures of these 2. Somehow bent the wheels and fucked the brakes up on it, don't even know how cause I didn't do anything at this point besides ride around the block & to and from my friends house, jumping a curb here and there.. So I got this motherfucker when I was like 13, not mine in the pic, only one online I could find in the same color.

Photo

It's a Mongoose KO, this thing ruled. had it till I was like 14 and it was a pretty good bike, I started hitting tiny dirt jumps with it, hopping off/down ledges/steps.. I remember I just BARELY hopped up a 2 stair and that was my proudest moment ever haha.

My friend who got me into riding had a Next bike and was getting an Eastern cause it was a lot lighter, so I talked to my parents and since I was getting into actually riding, they got me a Haro Backtrail x2.. Really good bike for me to start on I felt. It was sooo much lighter than what I was used to riding, here it is right before I upgraded the frame

Photo

I eventually customized the frame, headset, cranks, BB, pedals & sprocket when I got my Sunday OG frame Christmas 2006, got new tires eventually, put brakes back on for awhile, new bars, new back wheel cause I killed mine, new forks, new front wheel, another set of new cranks cause I fucked mine up.. Eventually a whole new seat setup, last stock part to go was the stem. I have a whole "bike timeline" on here somewhere with all my serious setups throughout the years but I'm too lazy to search for it

The fist bike i ever had was a old free agent freestyle bike which was full chrome and was my uncles before when he was like 15. was 32 when i got it. and it was light as hell (Still have the frame and forks) learnt how to 180 and fast plant down 6 set on it when i was 7. Also was a full 21" after that i got a Haro frame from the tip which i started doing up and got my first set on 3-piece threaded with a bottom bracket that wasn't even american sized. was about 8mm larger. but i still loved the bike and had it till 2 years ago when i got the frame i have now "Sputnic Skyline V1" and made it my love machine. now the two old bikes are at home in my room for memories

First I remember was a "Street racer" it wasnt hotwheels or anything but it said street racer.
Then Schwinn "Falcon"
Then Huffy something with a low profile frame & a 35t. Looked like a really nice bmx bike. But wasnt.
Then a Royce Union I raced on.
Then MTB (Attempted trials on this)
Then "MOTO-X" Bike
Then my current Kink.
Still have everything but the street racer & beat to shit MTB.

I had the usual child's boring little things really. Then i saved up all my birthday & christmas money & bought myself a sweet little blue BMX it was utter shit haha. It had blue tyres with tan walls, side pull brakes & the levers where nearly as long as my arms lol. REEEEALLY big blue plastic seat. At the time it was badass & i felt awesome. When i got to 13 my parents bought me a Haro Backtrail X1 which at the time was pretty cool. When i sold that i got some Felt thing which i slowly customized & then for my birthday one year my Grandpa (RIP) Surprised me with my very 1st aftermarket frame! T-1 Nate Wessel Barcode! Stupidly i sold that when i moved house & the guy i sold it too absolutely ruined it i was actually pretty crushed when i saw what he had done!

I don't know what my first bike was. But i remember doing footjams in it when i was 5. I also almost did a front flip on it...face planted instead. Then i got a crappy mountain bike when i was 7. I would jump it off tiny dirt ramps and stuff. When i was 9 i got a 2003 haro f2 for my b day. I loved that bike soooo much. leaned how to pogo and his weird peg manual barspin seat grab thing on that. Christmas of 2011 i got a db joker. Upgraded it to my current bike.

The first bmx bike I got was a 2004 dk. I think I bought it in 2005. Then I got an old 1999 haro. Then I realized that shit was out dated and bought a fly mosca 2 with profiles to Odysseys, small fly bars, fly stem, odyssey forks, profile cranks. I traded the frame because I needed parts to ride like a fucking idiot.... I may get a fly three amigos since I liked it so much. I still have some of the parts the stem I still ride. I've rode around 9 frames and a bunch of different parts so I'm not gonna go through all the shit I've rode unless someone actually wants to hear haha.

Da fuq is your avatar? Freaks me out, haha. My first bike was a 70 something That had yellow fenders and was made to look like a motorcycle.[LINK TO IMAGE] found this image with google, looked a lot like this thing. If I remember correctly, it had solid rubber tires. I layed it behind my sisters jeep, and she backed over it when she left. Something called a Gold fever after that. I put red knobbies on it, and it got stolen. Then I got a purple metal flake bike with ape hangers and a banana seat. After that came the huffy stu Thomsen, then a Raleigh loop back with Mongoose Motomags with the coaster brake disabled. Worked like a free coaster, the pedals didn't go backwards when the bike did. Didn't think it was a big deal back then, I just wanted a hub that clicked, haha. I loved that bike, it was a tank. Cracked the chain stay, and my mom bought a Mongoose Californian Pro for me. My first really good bike, it was their top of the line complete back in 1988, haha.

Then, in 2011, I got a Redline Column only to figure out that I really didn't like the absence of weight in a bike, and built my current baby.

Probably more info than you wanted, but I'm bored, haha.

I think I had a 16" huffy. It's the first one I remember. I kept trying to ride up the tree in the backyard and always flipped backwards onto my head. The I went through some Walmart bikes and then stepped up my game to a general lee and a specialized 415 streetboy which was a flatland bike lol. Then a Mirraco 5 star and a sunrise letup and then my first fully aftermarket bike when I was 18. And I been riding fully custom bikes since

I murdered the forks, they're bent to fuckin hell. Still sittin in my room haha. Destroyed the wheels, the back hub was shot & the rim itself was bent, not just out of true. Front hub was shot too. Bent the sprocket, beat the chainstay into a pancake from learning to grind but never actually cracked it
