Built up another spare parts bike, a lot of it's my old parts, and some of them are shit people will leave at the bike shop and be like "ehh I don't want it anymore, keep it."

Trying to figure out a price for it. I was thinking in the $200-$250 area but idk if that's pushing it. I hate coming up with prices so I need you guys' help on it cause I was talking about it today with some people and they asked how much but I didn't know what to tell them for a rough estimate. I know the frame & forks are stock so that'll decrease its value some but yeah.

Photo

Frame: Fit Team Trail 2008? Full 4130 Chromoly, 20.5"tt. Relatively good condition, no dents or cracks. Just sprayed it white.
Fork: Fit stock from a Fit Eddie 1 complete. Dropouts were slightly bent but I bent them back to being straight, no dents or cracks. Just sprayed them white. Other than that, they're in pretty good condition.
Bars: Skavenger Swift on the bike, but they're getting traded soon for a near perfect condition pair of Sunday Triumph bars soon from a friend who wants them just cause they're Skavenger, he's aware they have a tiny crack but wants em anyway.
Grips: ODI Longnecks, pretty good life left
Barends: ODI plugs, not pictured but never used before
Stem: Profile Acoustic, no cracks or anything, just knicks in the paint, no stripped bolts either
Headset: Colony Integrated, spins good, could use a little grease
Seat: Haro stock for now until I find something better, small tear towards the back but other than that, perfect condition
Post: Same as above, cut down as well
Clamp: Generic, not pictured, nothing wrong with it at all I just can't find it haha
Cranks: Still looking, I have a set of old Mongoose ones in near perfect condition though that are pretty light though. Gonna wait and see if I can find a better set however.
BB: Demolition Medial, mid 19mm. Bearings spin perfect, cones just have a few scratches on the non-drive side
Sprocket: Animal Sprockey Bal-Boa 26t, great condition besides a small crack at one of the sprocket location holes but I'm not gonna attach the crank to it there so it's still got plenty of life left.
Pedals: Odyssey Twisted pc, good amount of life left, no cracks or bent spindles
Chain: Shadow Interlock v2, I removed the pins that would randomly push out of it so it should be good to go
Front Wheel: Never used Demolition Bulimia front hub laced to an Alienation Delinquent rim with never used Shadow spokes & great condition gold alloy nipples, rim just has scratches
Back Wheel: Shadow Rant v2 cassette with a 9t driver laced to a Proper Magnalite rim with Sapim spokes & great condition gold alloy nipples, hub has grind damage only on the non-drive side, some spokes have grind damage & the rim just has brake wear on it.
Tires: Fit FAF 2.25" in the front, pretty good tread left & an Animal GLH 2.10" in the rear, okay tread left but probably should get a new one in a month or 2

I'd personally pay 200. You could probably sell it for 200-280ish, depending on what parts you add it could get to 300 it's got some good parts on it.

yeah if I get better cranks for it I'll try for the upper 200's. It's always a good idea to expect $250 or a tad lower, but throw it on Craigslist for like $300 cause they're gonna try to talk you down anyway so you'll still be in your expected area.

But yeah the wheels are dialed as fuck

200-250 sounds about right. I see some parts that already break that price in retail value. Even with stock frame+fork i'd be at 250 just for it being in good condition. Fuckit, if you get no offers then lower your price. You know how it is.

Yeah I've bought my bikes for 200 and 300. 250 is probably what it would go for, but most people on craigslist will get a bike even if the parts aren't all that great. Yeah the wheels are actually pretty sweet and some of the other parts are pretty good too lol.

yeah for sure. I mean the frame's at least 4130 and not hi tensile steel bullshit, did some hardcore google searching to figure out what frame it was for sure haha.

I think everyone will try to push the price lower so yea your right about overpricing it. It's a mind game you overprice it knowning people will try to push the price lower and you give it a little struggle ehh.... idk.... then you "give in". Letting them think they won and asserted dominance on your price by "pushing it lower" will get you a better deal. I say you go for 310-320 who knows you might get 300 out of it?

Also keep in mind just because something is stock doesn't mean it's shit I've been riding my stock bike for well over 2 years and man has it held up!!! Although the rims are beat to hell and you can see where they pinned the rim coming apart >.

Very true about the last part!

and possibly about the price, I had my last spare parts bike made out of a KHE frame, MacNeil forks, & other really good parts, only "bad" part was the stock Eastern Birectional rear wheel which was sealed at least, on Craiglist forever at $400.. no bites at all, luckily my friend wanted it and traded me a MacBook tongue haha but yeah, I think I'll throw it on there for $325 for awhile, and drop it down to like $310 or so gradually to make it look like I'm really lowering the price but either way I'll get some more money for it.

I'm not strapped for cash or anything, I just have a lot of shit laying around haha

It's worth more but since it's "used" and "stock" you'd get like 250- or 300 for someone that knows about biking....

It's worth what someone will pay. I'd say about $200 + a little for whatever cranks you put on it.

Not bad. Try to find better crank arms though.

trying to, if someone I know offers me something for it though I'll just put those cranks on it so they can at least ride it. I'll just wait and see if someone leaves an old set or an arm at the shop.. We have an Odyssey Wombolt crank there but it's missing the left arm or I'd put that on haha

I feel like more than 250 would be kind of a scam.
Just keep it in between 200-250 and it should be fair for both you and the buyer.
