Ok I am getting a new rim for front I can either get a female axle or a male what's better for grinding

do you mean pegless grinding? Because with either axle, the hardware is inside the peg anyway.

Nope, 14mm female. It's the strongest design overall and easier to work on with pegs.

Gsport Ratchet
Stress BMX hub that should come out
There are others. I think Eclat makes one.
Tree Hubs are good too but get solid chromo bolts for it.

Those are the strongest.

Well, here's some actual advice.


If you are grinding, a front female axle will be much stronger than a 10mm (3/8") axle.

On the front a 10mm female is a lot stronger than a 10 mm male (they tend to bend really easily)
