Yes. And it is a smart thing for less cable friction, especially in the bends.

I love brakes and I like gyros... I just hate how low the cords hang and it looks sloppy. This setup I can deal with, I'm trying to figure it out.

if you just cut it shorter then u normally would then you can make it straighter.. i had mine like that where it went straight to the arms and i had just basic ODY cables.
