4/19/2012 9:54 PM

bars, gear ratio and chain tension! I know it sounds crazy, but I must have the perfect tension on my chain, not too tight not too loose!

|

4/19/2012 9:56 PM

1. bars 2. grips 3. pedals 4. frame 5. gear ratio

|

4/19/2012 10:10 PM

- Bar height
- Tyre pressure
- I don't feel any geometry differences unless it's drastic.

bars have to be around 8-8.25 26-28" wide, and a frame with a steep headtube makes all the difference to me. and honestly, the shoes im wearing. i cant ride in anything other than DC's or Nikes.

... honestly i have no clue... everything i do ive been able to do pretty much no problems on any bike, and the bikes have varied alot everything for 3" difference rise on bars to 10lbs heavier for the bike itself... idont notice much on stem reach either... the only thing i really noticed a difference from was going from a 20.5 to a 21 tt... and now i just cant spin as well

bars and frame, but I'have to say that the frame makes the biggest difference!

But I like my bars big, short chain stay, long toptupe and low bb height like 11.5-11.65. :D

this verbatim. also, gotta have metal pedals or at least metal pins

bars and bar position, i have to feel comfortable, it doesn't matter if you ride them forward of backwards, you need to feel comfortable pulling up, and riding your bike in general

|

4/20/2012 10:15 AM

stem
i went from an elementary to a profile 40 and that small amount of drop it gave made so much difference. along with that is frame size, i love a nice long frame, 21.25 with a 14.4 rear end feels so stable and just right to me.
pedals as well, i like to be locked the fuck in.

Frame Geometry - Short top tube and chainstays
Back Hub - Freecoaster, obviously
Bars - My badgers are perfect, and nothing else seems to feel right. Eight inch rise is definitely the perfect geometry for me.

To be completely honest, the air in my tires.

4/20/2012 3:25 PM

head tube angle and bar angle
and psi in the tires!

|

4/20/2012 3:28 PM

Bar Geo - makes a huge difference. I like having 3-4 degrees of Upsweep for my wrists it feels natural. And 28-29 width
Tire Pressure - Needs to be at about 90-100. Any lower then 80 and i get anal about it and makes me feel squishy
Top Tube - I like a 20.6 its super comfy makes things much easier
Trued Wheels - Hops and shit makes the ride feel soo much worse

Are you short or do you just like the feel of small frames and bars?
