Try to put some kind of lube or oil on it. and i think it will be good to ride.

It's probably just some solidified lube from sitting on the shelf. You'll be fine. As stated above, lube it a bit.

yea lube, ride it. u could put it in your hands and just somewhat firmly bend it sideways on the stiff links

If you want to, get a chain breaker and mess with the pins just a teeny bit, not too much. And lube it before and after doing that. Always did the trick for me and was way quicker than riding it out.
