Wtf Fit?

Alright. Last week I was out riding. I literally just did a flat ground nose manual, and BAM! My headtube cracked, and the fork bent back. Both Fit parts. It also cracked my Subrosa stem. I have no idea how it happened, but now I can't ride and I don't have money for new stuff. I didn't even land hard either, and I'm not that fat. I don't get it. Pisses me off.

Sorry about the rant. I just had to get that out. Does anybody know if fit will warranty a stock frame?

Depends on how old the frame is and if you registered item after it was purchased.

Also, if you got low end FIT complete things are gonna break, its just something thats gonna happen.

I got the frame from someone else. I guess you're right. Idk, it sucks because I don't have the money for a new frame.

Yeah if purchasing a used frame from someone it would of been a good idea to check the frame well by checking the welds, looking for cracks, dents, etc...

Just a thought for next time, also make sure the frame full chromoly and not a cheap frame off a complete.

I checked it all over. No cracks. But it was a low end frame.

You can't just snap a frame and stem, and bend your forks. I'd guess it was all proper fucked before then from something else

This.

You can be upset with the fact that it was used, and that it is done for, but you really can't blame Fit for the fact that it was used when you got it, and the riding it took clearly over time exceeded what it could handle. Good that it went down on something on flat ground/low and not like a 20 stair drop or something.

I guess I would look at that aspect as a silver lining, and an excuse to find/put away cash for new frame/fork day!

I'm sorry to hear that man. If it's stock parts or a complete bike frame they wear out very quick. It's totally worth the money to invest in a solid bike. Used is okay depending on condition and part. I even cracked my Sunday 2nd wave years ago through the wave dt. Stuff gets old I guess haha.

Y'all make a lot of sense. Now I have an excuse to get a new frame, and who knows, maybe it was cracked before and I didn't notice it, and that just made it worse. Luckily it didn't snap clean off while I was riding. I actually didn't notice it until my friend pointed it out.

Yeah, I think if the frame, stem, or forks were made by a different brand and this incident happened, you'd be angry at those companies as well, haha!

Time for a new setup!
