Sealed bearing deal. Riding in Nevada trails = sand. Sand = unsealed bearing destruction.

Ah ok. I could just never see myself spending $100 on one set of pedals.

My primo super tenderizers lasted three years. My odyssey twisted ones have plenty of grip, the bearings are taking a crap though. I'm willing to psy a nice penny for things. One ditch is $50. Two ditches, about 14 hours.

dudeeee i was just about to buy those snafu ones today. ended up just getting new bodies for my animal BPE's (plastic) lol

the demolition trooper pedals look pretty nice too tho, pretty slim and they use bushings instead of bearings

also, eclat surge pedals are expensive as hell but worth considering i think

Excuse my asking.. why do you want slim pedals? Majority of them use the same or similar flimsy axle (which if you look into them, you will see bends SOOPER easy.) The lack of material sketches me out, I feel like the body would just break off the axle over time. I see absolutely no advantage to slim pedals, only disadvantages.

If you refuse to run anything other than slim, I would suggest going for PCs like the Premium Slim PCs or Ezra Flats. Add metal pins if you want more grip. Because in all reality, the axle will bend way before you break the pedal body anyway. No point in spending $100 on a pedal with a flimsy axle when you can spend $30 for practically the same pedal with the same axle/bearings.

I believe Trailmixes/JCPCs are the best option for pedals since they have the over sized axles made to take a beating. Really beefy pedal bodies too.

Or, look into some slimmer non-slim pedals like the Fly Rubens or wait for the Odyssey Dugans (look a bit slimmer.)

They just feel better to me. Like a gut feeling almost. And if I can't find any slims worth buying I'm just getting demolition pedals.

I have the snafu pedals right now and haven't had any issues with them. They still spin smooth and haven't had any issues with them bending. i do like how those xpedo ones look though. Any of those pedals should be good but I haven't ridden the others so I don't know how they are.

|

5/7/2014 4:31 PM

Never get Premium slims. Or Wellgos on my opinion.

I'd go for Spike pedals. Even metal snafu's
