I'm 5.8 and I can't go higher than 8.25 if that helps. Works for me.

Freestyle is the answer to everything --
a fresh way to approach a dull or a
dangerous thing.
to do a dull thing with style
is preferable to doing a dangerous thing
without it.

I'm 6.1 and ride 8.25" bars, in my eyes it is all personal preference so if you can ride some other bikes with different sized bars and see what feels nice for you

If you're looking for strong bars, find a set with larger radius bends and that are made from straight gauge chromoly. Also, check out what kind of warranty the company offers, because a solid company will offer a lifetime warranty on aftermarket bars.

Some straight gauge that come to mind: S&M Hoder, Fit Mac

If you want to save some weight, check out some bars with butted tubing. This type of tubing gets thinner in the middle, and thicker towards the weld points. They won't be as strong as straight gauge bars, but it's a great way to save weight on your bars without affecting strength too much!

Some butted bars that come to mind: Tree Moto Bar, Mutiny Manroids

This, but it's important to note that butted bars can be stronger than straight gauge bars. However most of the butted bars that are stronger than straight gauge bars weigh about the same. They simply make a more effective use of materials. 95% of the time straight gauge is stronger.

Added! O.P, FBM make quality Parts! I have a Custom FBM Frame, one of the best Frames I own! They went out of their way to make My Frame with the specs I wanted & quite a few of them weren't on their online order form! The Bars have quality specs! 3-Degrees Upsweep is awesome! Whilst I'm not against more as I own 2 Bars with more! 1with 4-Up, 1with 5-Up!! But 3-Upsweep feels right. I would advise You whatever Bars You end up purchasing look for 3 Degrees Upsweep! Good Luck with the search!
