I have a felt vault and it works great for a beginner bike but I'm giving it to my one of my son's to replace a mongoose. So I want a new complete under $600. The only brands I've looked at are wethepeople and fit. It seems like Fit gives more bang for the buck. But I really have no clue what I should get. I will be riding parks mostly. I am a beginner but I don't want a beginner bike. I want a bike that will take me a while to catch up to in skill. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Fit. Hands down. I've seen nothing but quality from fit completes.

Which Fit? The Sig series?

Honestly I'd say to just check Craigslist. There is always nicely built customs which go for insanely cheap.

Yea I'm sure but I don't want a used bike. Let's say I put a little more with my $600 and get one of the Fit sigs. What is the differences between them? Is it just the colors or are different ones intended for different uses? I'm too lazy to go over all the specs.

With my experience any. I've seen a benny sig, a dugan sig, and a ton of vh1's and 2's and all pf them were ridiculously nice. I'd rather own one over my own bike right now.

The Mac Sig is 21" and right side drive. Best for taller riders, who ride left foot forward.

The Mac Sig is 21" and left side drive. Best for taller riders, who ride right foot forward.

The Benny Sig is 20.75" and right side drive with 4 pegs. Best for 5"4' - 6' riders who want to grind stuff.

Which one would be best for parks rather than street? And I tend to ride with my right right foot forward. Thank you for your advice

I'd get the Dugan if you are around 5'9" - 6' 2". It's better because it is set up left hand drive but has a full size 21" frame more suitable for taller riders. The left hand drive gearing will be better later on when you want to throw pegs on the right side.

I wouldn't base it off foot placement, but side a person is most comfortable with grinding on.

I have buddies who are left foot forward and grind on the right, so right side drive is a bad choice if they want to not grind on their chain and such.

My two cents.

I would buy two things at once, A complete in your price range with a solid crmo frame and junk for parts, and a new good chain. Like a kmc 710 or an interlock etc... Ride it until the wheels fall off and replace parts as you go.

Can you give me a noob run-down on the Fit sigs, such as what type of riding each one is best for? Or I guess a better question would be what riding styles do each of the Fit team that have a Sig have? I know that Dugan is mainly a vert guy and his signature bike is built accordingly but I can't differentiate the other guys with sigs and their styles.

There's not much difference between the Dugan and Mac Sig besides right hand / left hand drive.

They change up a few of the parts and the Mac comes with pegs and a hub guard but neither is really specific to any riding style.

The Benny Sig does have a different frame than the other sigs with a steeper head tube and shorter back end making it more responsive and better for a more tech style of riding. Also it comes with 4 Fit OG pegs + Wizard sleeves so it is great for a guy who wants to do a lot of grind tricks. The frame is also shorter at 20.75", great for guys from 5'5" to 5'11" or so.
