|

2/25/2014 2:10 AM

whats a great frame for dirt park and a bit of street?

|

2/25/2014 4:56 AM

i hate it but so many people love the fit wifi...seems like a generic enough geo. you mean all round for street, park, trails?

The wifi is definitely more of a tech street frame. For all around frames you'll probably a head tube that's kind of in the middle, not too steep but not too relaxed. You'll also most likely want chain stays around 13.5 ish, since this is kind of in between being a super short street frame and a super long trails frame.

|

Honestly? Who gives a shit. Its the fucking internet. I hate all of you equally.

The WiFi is norte genérico lol. The am atf seems to be nice for everything.

I like my Federal Lacey for everything.

Haven't spent a ton of time on dirt, but it is a good time.

The frame that you have between your legs is the best all rounder frame. Really though, just learn to ride what you have. I've been learning to ride dirt jumps at sheep hills and its not like I have multiple bmxes to ride so I just ride my wza. So what if its brakeless and has a 12.8 chainstay, I'm riding dirt jumps and making it through. People concentrate way too much on gear here, its all about the rider

|

2/25/2014 10:33 AM

Yeah, that rider with a fit WiFi riding huge ass trails says all

This is true, i never got why people always say that bike is specifically for dirt, street or park. I've always just used the same bike for everything no problem, yeah i dont really ride street and dont ride park at all but when i do i feel no difference between my frame which has a 14" plus cs compared to someone whos frame has a 13" cs. just use the frame you have and you'll get accustomed to using for everything

We could say that frames are oriented to whatever. But the difference is noticiable

Theres soo many out there right now. Just look for 13.5-14 rear end. 74.5-75 HT. Im pretty sure almost all of the cult frames are around that. A couple more off the top of my head is the Subrosa noster and sunday soundwave.

|

2/25/2014 2:01 PM

Get a soundwave 13.5-13.75 chainstay and 75 degree headtube angle

|

When the river runs red, take the dirt road instead.

These types of threads.....alot of frames can work. Choose what YOU want. My suggestions ;

Colony Teddy
S&M ATF
Sunday Soundwave (eh)
Cult Stone Cold
Fiend Embryo
Haro SD V2
Failure Mainiac
Premium CK (eh)

There's alot , this is on top of my head. Do some research , basically ANYTHING with a 75 HT and 13.5 CS will work.

atf, ive got a 20.25 atf that is big enough for park/dirt/street but short enough for some flatland trickery
very medium geo, perfect for everything
i had a wifi, waaaaaay too twitch for anything other than light park, dirt was impossible

Brocks new Vessel Frame would be pretty good for everything too actually! Check Out the little interview with the Man Himself on Volumes site! That Frame is gunna be SICK!

I was eyeing the doomwizard myself for a bit.

Basically, you can ride almost any frame anywhere you want, as stated above. It boils down to what you feel comfortable on, how well you adapt to changes in geometry, etc. of the frames mentioned, I've had a Soundwave and an ATF, but my ATF is a 22", so that doesn't exactly count. Similar to the Soundwave is the Redline G7, but with a higher bb.
