best street/jump 100% chromoly complete bikes?

I was looking for a bike for a nephew and a bud suggested the DK Helio. It retails for $450 on their site so its well within your budget. 100% chromoly, sealed bearings, etc. Sweet ride. Check out the link below.

Go to Lbs and see what u can order for $500. Maybe get last years models discounted. Probably gonna get a million different answers on specific bikes. Not trying to be rude but maybe do a little more research and post some bikes ur interested in and then have people rate them.

I agree with acedog to a point. I'm not the most knowledgeable guy here by far but there are plenty others who are. I dont know a lot of guys locally but the ones I do know their stuff. The DK bike i mentioned is a good deal but like acedog said, its your money. If you arent already familiar with bike geometry here is a vid:

There isnt only one bike that fits your requirements or that you should buy. If your not familiar with bikes, read up and then you can make the best purchase for you.

so yea, i rode bmx for about 15+ years im in my late 20's now i stopped in my early 20's ive had a few years on hiatus, back in 2013 figured id get back in the game but issue is im 6'4 240lbs so i was like let me get a cruiser and just had a horrible time it was the stolen saint 24 xl and first smith grind i bent the fork. i remember you used to get complete cromo bikes for like $300 *cough cough* volume dinosaur and others. got rid of that saint so its been 2 years since i last tried to ride anything but i found the fly bikes proton for $500 so i bought it like 6 hours ago it seems to be full cromo but the details arent really out there but ill let ya know when i recieve it later this week. they make a LHD version as well. http://www.flybikes.com/products/completes/proton


if all is good with it only upgrades i gotta do are perfect 10 bars, half link chain, MDS sprocket and new rear wheel (freecoaster lyfe) i was riding freecoasters back in the day.

Kink, Fit, Fly, WTP And Sunday has some good cheap full chromoly bikes.

DK Helio. true 100% chromo for like 450 bucks, Don't think anything else is that low.

If you don't want a DK just peel the stickers off and tell your friends its whatever you want it to be.

its not 100% chromo. They got tricky with their wording. "Kink Gap 100% 4130 Chromoly HT, TT and DT".

its probably a fine beginner bike though. the liberty is the cheapest real 100% chromo bike from kink.

that would be a good find/buy/find?

Id like to find something used locally.. better bang for buck..
I am 32 now just getting back into riding, just want to ride w my kid now and do not want a MTB

My only dislike towards DK is they sell walmart bikes. Not that the HELIO is a walmart model but still.

Dude stop asking this guy you going to waste your time. Just buy a used custom from craigslist be done ride and have fun riding or just buy a compete that you like and want it your money not there's.

Kink whip 2016 is chromoly everything with sealed hubs. pretty cheap 450$ i think or 550$ not sure.

DK stopped sel) ing at walmart. Whatever stock walmart has now is the crap they havnt sold yet. Its a chomoly bike for a good price.

I take back what I said earlier, acehole890 is an idiot. Even if a bike is custom off craigs u have to know your parts then u have to know how to tell if parts are damaged. Dont waste money on used. Get a new bike and replace parts as they break. Thats how most people start out.

Yes it a good bike why you might ask. Because mine friend has midway 2014 and he loves it it strong as hell. He still have it today trust me that the haro midway is good for you.

The volume dinosaur was 500. Maybe used or on clearance it was cheaper. The complete was 500. Two of my buddies had it.


To the OP, look for full chromoly, sealed bearings and double wall rims. (Most durable options) Outside of that, pick what you would like.

yea that tire was awful it lasted 1 week and tore out the entire sidewall. but when my proton comes in im prolly going to a review of it with bunch of pics and shit on here.

Kink Liberty or Liberty SXTN are both good. Full chromo with sealed everything. I have the 2013 and it's amazing. $450 on Dan's.
