big bars are good for certain things but not everytime big bars can sometimes get in the way of barspins whips etc but its all personal preference if you like high 8's but dont like the widths of them in some cases s&m has some bars that are called the grand slam bars which is 8.25 in rise and 34" in width and the weight is crazy 34.5oz to heavy and to big but if you like mod your bars cut them

yes. but if they are too wide then they make it worse. i would go 28x8. good size. but right now i have 28.5x8.25 and its cool too.

Big bars are great!

Since getting taller bars and wider bars my lower back doesn't hurt at all.

naww man just find the right size.

I hope you meant to say 24" in width...34" bars is ridiculous...

It's kind of like asking if bigger tires or different grips will make you ride better. I suppose there is some small difference that may help you. For instance softer grips may not give you as much callouses as harder ones, or certain tires will improve traction.

I guess you really just need to get bars that are the right size for you cause if you are really small, bigger bars won't help you.

Its ok, just wanted to make sure haha...

But big bars dont make a better rider, they help some people, but not all. I ride with like 25 inch bars and they work awesome for me

I'M HUNTING BUNNIES

11/30/2008 11:53 AM

I was riding 7.25 24 inch wide Civilians. I went to 8 28 eastern nitrous(cheap bars, of course i bent them) just to try out them out and i was astonished at how much more comfortable they were. Then i cut them down to 26 when they bent and i hate em. So now im looking for a 8 28 set with dimensions close to the nitrous bars as far as sweep goes.
