im going to setup some brakes soon and i have a few questions

which brake pads are the best out of eclat eggplants or odyssey slimbyfour? i am open to suggestions
and does having a good lever, like a monolver, make a difference to braking power?

I've had eclat pads and they were weird but I'm wanting to assume I got a defective pair. Odyssey slimbyfours are good from what I hear. I'm currently running fly zapatas and I really like them. I'm not sure about that but I like my monolever

get the odyssey pads, and as far as a lever, you just got to get what you like, some are made for 1 finger, 2 finger. etc.

The Odyssey pads are good, but the fly pads are better. A good break cable is more important then a good brake lever.(but I do like my Odyssey trigger lever)

The eastern lever feels good, I destroyed the housing eating shit, and I gave it to my cousin and it still brakes on a dime, and it's fucking cheap and rightly priced, so I'd get that for a lever.

I really like my odyssey small lever i just wish it was black instead of mint! Odyssey cables are good too

Y brother had the eclats, but I have kool stops that work way better. As far as levers go, get a nice heavy duty one, they take a beating

I recommend an Ody Monolever and Ody linear cable. Not sure about brake pads

I have the Odyssey Clear pads, LOVE them. Loud as hell, but work amazingly on a Primo Balance rim in Black. No brake marks, been several months.

slim by fours or a-brake pads?

the odysseys last a long time as long as they are lined up and hit your rim square. Clear works on every rim color, and on chrome it grips it like crazy.

Just send it!
