yes the bottom brackett is the very bottom tube of the frame that the cranks go through. their should be a serial number their.

thats probably about right considering it's condition and age, the MSRP in 2007 for this bike new was 499.99 but i see aftermarket parts on yours so I think he's on the high end. but yeah I could see it going for that price, might be kinda high though.
