Okay so according to the charts, I should be using 171mm cranks, but since I cant find any, 170mm cranks will work. I have a 19mm spindle on a mid size bottom bracket,

Any suggestions for 170mm RHD cranks?

I currently ride 175mm cranks, but I DO notice on the cross over for foot jams that I sometimes cannot get my leg over the TT I think it's because of my cranks being the wrong size.

Ok, forgive a stupid question, but I've never seen a crank size chart. I always went with;
Longer = more leverage for take off or going up hills. More torque.
Shorter = Less leverage, easier to pedal at high speeds, kinda like crankshafts in engines.

That being said, I recently ordered Fit indent 24's in 175 mm, but was shipped 170mm. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to wait another week for them, and now, I'm used to them. Anyway, the Fit indent 24's are great so far, and either drive side.

There's alot of good cranks you can get, profiles, demolition revolts, thunderbolts, indents, stolen teams all come in 170mm

I also think the bonedeth penetraters and subrosa bitchins have a 170mm option

Lol. If that's correct, I should be sporting 185 or 190's. That's just crazy!

Fuck the chart lol. This is freestyle bmx, not racing.
180mm- stable at high speeds, more leverage when pedaling
170mm- tech, unstable at high speeds, good for street, less leverage
175mm- inbetween both. All terrain.
Pick whatever sounds more appealing to you. Im 6'1" and 240lbs and run 170mm and wouldn't go any longer. The chart doesn't mean shit, its all about what YOU want.

Fit Indent 24s are indestructible and come with a mid bottom bracket. Good price too.

I run 165's and I'm 5'10.

I've run 175's constantly before and ridden other bikes with up to 180's I didn't feel much of a difference tbh. I really like the short crank to a highier gearing feel though

Well the dk ratchet has 170 cranks, I'll ride it around and see how I like it compared to my normal setup.

Eclate make some great cranks, powerbites if you can find them, And they dont make 171 cranks sorry. Its alright we all make silly questions at somepoint. Thats just the learning curve. Basically the longer the more leverage and so on and so forth.

Hope we all helped

Ethan, get primo powerbites. I think empire has some for like $100. Amazing cranks.

I run 170mm cranks with a 28t sprocket. Feels awesome. It's all personal preference really. I used to always run 175 and when I first got my 170's, it felt weird for only a day. I got used to it right away, but I feel like I can pinch my cranks easier and spin a little better. I'm about 5'10''.

This, I have them, primo says they still warrenty them fully, even sent me a knew left hand arm after the thread got stripped by my missuse and they said no problem. Best cranks money can buy hands down.
Get them in 175mm with 9-30 and youre having a good time

Rode around on the dk ratchet at work, it was kinda different, mostly the gearing, and the weight. I did notice footjams where easier to setup for. Thanks everybody for the suggestions. I'll be looking into them all

Just wanted to thank everybody who chimed in and gave me their opinions on the cranks, I've decided I'm going to go with 170mm x 19mm Fit Indent Cranks in Chrome, Not only where they highly recommended, But the reviews where all good, lighter than my current cranks, and rhd/lhd switchable, I do plan to change to left hand drive eventually, These will help make that less painful

Also For you guys who chimed in on my fork offset thread, I'm going to go with the Odyssey R25(black) I was originally looking at the Shadow Vultus forks because the offset was slightly less then the Odyssey, However I read a few reviews that stated the forks crack just under the coffin cutout. killed the deal for me....

So Odyssey R25 forks, and Fit indent 19x 170mm's on their way.... now wheres that tax rebate....

Thanks again guys!

guys check your dan's comp codes, I need a 20% off on this badboy so i can change them bout out at the same time.

If you would want a bit more offset go with cult ic forks, 28mm, and lifetime warranty
