Not making another new, thread, just gonna bump it. So what are some cool ideas as I being different? A sticker bombed frame? Put comic book pges on the frame, adhese them onto frame, clearcoat over. That sort of thing. Or water dipped frames.

i left a mirraco in a snowbank for a week after stripping it! put it on all raw, ocean blue, and black parts. it was nice.

Imo a light rust, sanded smooth, clearcoated looks good. My frame was like that because the person who owned it before be didnt clear it fast enough.

Yes, however not the way You did it lol.. Iet My T-1 SFA sit in a Damp Garage for a couple of Months & It rusted nicely.

I like the look of rust, however...
Coat over it and then the process will turn inward.
It's no better than allowing your bike to sit outside. Rust is oxidization, I.e. Steel rot.
Seems like a bad plan.

I've always liked the look of light rust on my raw frames definitely not rust covered though

mine used to be 100% rust. people thought i painted it orange/brown/bronze the rust was so solid and bright. i never clearcoated it and rode it in the ice and snow and salt most winter. i have recently amended to the rust tho, re-rawing and painting/clearing.

This. And with multi butted tubing on most frames today, you're just speeding up the clock for your face's meeting with the pavement, haha.

rust was big like 2010 i liked it at the time. Now my frame gets rusty and i cba to do anything about it.
