i want to bring my bike to florida when i go to visit gramma but i cant cuz its a pain in the ass so she said she would get be something for less then 200. This looks decent, how is it? im gonna use it for a week, and every time i go down there again. Do u think it will hold up to light park use, maybe some street ledges? thanks alot i just need something to ride that is cheap i wont beat on it but will it hold up?

I find it very hard to believe that it's full cromo for 200. And it's Walmart...

On a serious note, if those specs are true thats a good deal... but it seems too good to be true, everything cromo at $200... hmmmmm.

You can get a starter BMX bike for cheap (US prices) so I'd suggest spending more on a legit company. You'd get something the lasts longer.

I dunno... the only bikes that DansComp has for $200 are a couple of Fictions and a Black Eye. If the frame/fork/bars/cranks on that Mongoose are actually cromo, are the DansComp bikes going to be significantly better?

Risk it then? I mean , I don't think Mongoose would warranty a Walmart bike, and even though it looks good, just because a frame is chromo doesnt mean its great.

Yeah, definitely a risk... if for no other reason than the warranty. I'd look into that first.

Combine some extra cash with her $200 to get something more legit.. all the shops i've been to in the miami area usually have decent haros, mirracos, and easterns for $250 to $350 (not all of them are full cromo, but they have great warranties).. just a thought..

and my buddy who works at a shop, a little outta the way from me, got a nice, free build from premium.. so his shop might start selling them.

i ended up buying this. stolen heist 2011 stock raw frame. different seat and clamp. im bringing my spare shadow pegs, odyssey spacebars, (some bolts, a chain, pedals grips, tube, for spare). i gave her 175$ and she bought picked up earlier
